Message with gobs of fuel vaporizing and lots of high velocty air moving through the carburetor inlet. It has been shown that fuel injected engines can also get induction icing. Both an NA and a TT at cruising speed will have intake vacuum present with the it's attendant cooling effect.

With turbochargers producing no boost and air running through intercoolers, I suspect that intake icing is still possible under the right conditions. Maybe not very common but it still must be possible. If not, then why would Nissan use it at all?

For most people it's not likely to ever be a serious problem in either the NA or TT. But I would still prefer not to use a bypass. Just because I can't really be sure.
